Channel Sales Executive – IT Distributor
£20k base (£40k + OTE)
As one of the UKs leading Telecoms distributors, specialising in Call Centre and Unified Communication headsets, they are an expert in their field and have grown year on year because of the organisations depth in knowledge. As a market leader they provide products from all the leading manufacturers to companies of every size throughout the UK and Europe. Over the past 25 years they have steadily grown and are hoping to further increase their market share in 2020/21 through the recruitment of hard-working sales professionals.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Sales Executive to join their Sales team at the head office in Manchester. The role will grow from a Sales Executive to Channel Account Manager as the candidate develops a spending customer base and demonstrates their knowledge and experience.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years telesales experience and formal training that they can demonstrate in the interview, experience selling IT and Telecoms services is advantageous but not essential. Being self-motivated is a key aspect of the role as the right person will want to grow a large account base from the data provided and must be experienced at actively negotiating business opportunities.
It is essential that you are a highly organised individual that sets personal goals to achieve the company sales targets, while also setting and achieving your own targets for self-development and growth. A successful customer base is developed through proactive telephone conversations and follow up email correspondence which will be targeted through KPI’s: minimum of 2.5 hours call time per day, minimum of 100 outbound calls, 4 new accounts opened per week, and monthly profit targets.
Once an account base has been developed the ability to sustain strong customer relationships is fundamental to the position and will be nurtured via proactive telesales calls to your customer base and having regular touch points, in order for you to be the go to person in their industry for sales.
Promote & sell the company’s range of products & services by contacting key personnel within the supplied customer base via telesales calls.
Proactively calling potential customers to develop them into spending accounts by effectively utilising your time.
Databases will be supplied via their CRM system, which must be kept up to date, and staff will also be expected to source their own leads and to diarise their own calls & collate relevant information through the CRM system and also to ensure the CRM system is up to date with customers current details.
Training will be provided by manufacturers that they work closely with and in-house training will be provided on their systems and products, so the successful candidate has a detailed knowledge of the leading products in their market.
Further knowledge of telecommunications equipment and experience of the following software would be advantageous but are not essential.
ACT by Sage, Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Centre, and Microsoft Office
